Greetings District PTA Leaders, Members and Supporters,

 

On behalf of the Northern Virginia District PTA, we would like to thank you for your service and dedication to our communities, schools, and children during this school term and invite you to attend the District Annual Meeting and Awards Dinner on April 25th.

 

INVITATION

The Northern Virginia District Executive Board would like to invite you to attend the 2011 District Annual Meeting and Awards Dinner to be held on Monday, April 25, 6—9 p.m. at the Waterford at Springfield.

 

6:00 – 6:45 p.m.         Registration & Credentials

6:15 – 6:45 p.m.         Social Reception in the Sellier Room

6:45 – 7:30 p.m.         Buffet Dinner served in Gibson Ballroom

7:30 - 9:00 p.m.         Awards Program, Guest Speakers, District

                                   Business Meeting

Guest speakers:        Brenda Sheridan, VA PTA Vice-President

                                   National PTA Representative

 

Paid Registration due by April 15. Online Registration is available with more information about the program and dinner menu. Vegetarian meals available. Cost is $35 per person payable to “Virginia PTA” and is a legitimate PTA expense. Present Membership cards at registration. Credentials information is available on District web site.

 

Nominee Applications are due April 6 to the District Director in order to recognize outstanding PTA volunteers at our District Annual Meeting on April 25th.

 

Awards and recognitions will include students, volunteers, and unit awards, including student musical performances during dinner. District Primary and Secondary winners will be submitted by June 1st to VA PTA Volunteer Committee for consideration for the 2010 VA PTA Volunteer of the Year award.

 

District Business Meeting will include Nominating Committee Elections, 2011-12 Other Income Budget adoption, and the 2012 Proposed Preliminary Legislation Program (PPLPs) presentation.
