NOVA District PTA leadership and members were pleased and honored to attend the 2020 National PTA Reflections Student Arts Showcase held on January 13 at the U.S. Department of Education in Washington, DC. School year 2018-2019 National PTA Reflections honorees were recognized and celebrated during the event. The theme for the 2018-2019 school year was Heroes Around Me.
The student art exhibit will be on display at the U.S. Department of Education in Washington, DC throughout the month of February. PTA members and their families can visit the Department to view the exhibit. Please contact Juliette Rizzo at Juliette.Rizzo@ed.gov to schedule a visit.
The exhibit will also travel to the 2020 National PTA Convention & Expo in Louisville, Kentucky June 18-21, 2020. To learn more, please visit PTA.org/Convention.

The National PTA Reflections Program is the largest and oldest national student arts recognition program celebrating over 50 years. Each year, over 300,000 students in Pre-K through Grade 12 create original works of art in response to a student-selected theme.
The theme for the 2019-2020 program year is Look Within. Students submit their completed works of art in one or all of the available arts categories: Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Photography, Visual Arts.
