PTA Day at Washington Nationals Park!

Northern Virginia District PTA joined local PTA/PTSA leaders, members, students, teachers, and families from across the Washington, DC region to celebrate PTA Day at Washington Nationals Baseball Park on Saturday, September 28. The event provided an opportunity to have fun, meet new PTA members, and highlight the importance of the PTA in supporting students, teachers, schools, and families across the region.

The Northern Virginia District PTA appreciates its partnership and support from the Washington Nationals. The baseball team worked with NOVA District PTA to provide discounted tickets and concession credits to PTA members throughout the baseball season. The team also supports NOVA District PTA’s programming for its PTA/PTSA local leaders, students, and their families. The team recently participated in the inaugural i-STEAM event hosted by NOVA District PTA, Arlington County Special Education PTA, and the Fairfax County Special Education PTA on September 7 at Lake Braddock Secondary School in Burke, Virginia. The event provided STEM learning opportunities to students with special needs and their families.

The Washington Nationals beat the Cleveland Indians 10-7. Congratulations to the Washington Nationals for making the playoffs!
