Heroes of Creativity: NOVA District Students Use Art To Explore What It Means To Be Heroic
NOVA District PTA congratulates Northern Virginia students honored by the National PTA in its 2018-2019 National Reflections Arts Program. The national arts program is celebrating its 50th year and is the oldest and largest arts education recognition program of its kind. The program was developed in 1969 by Colorado State PTA President Mary Lou Anderson to encourage students to explore their talents and express themselves. Since then, the Reflections Program has inspired millions of students to reflect on a specific theme and create original artwork.
The theme for the 2018-2019 school year was “Heroes Around Me.” The 2019-2020 theme is “Look Within.” Please register your school today for the 2019-2020n school year at https://www.pta.org/home/programs/reflections.
Here is a NOVA District PTA press release that recognizes each of the seven winners. 2018-2019 winners will be recognized and celebrated at the 2019 National PTA Annual Convention and Expo in Columbus during June 20-23!
